The Minnesota Youth Soccer Association’s East District playoffs were held last week in Hudson , WI. Early Saturday morning a storm front stalled over the area, dumping several inches of rain in a short period of time. When teams arrived at the Hudson soccer fields for the morning matches, they found flooded pitches and at least a three hour delay.
Some of the teams had traveled from quite a distance, so going home for three hours wasn’t a viable option. One team in particular, the U14 boys from Chippewa Falls, WI., decided to hang out at the fields.
So what do 14 year old boys, all revved up for a soccer tournament, do when they arrive to find flooded fields? Two words: Water Park!
Oh, to be 14 again…
